This movie is based on the book Empire of the Moghul: Raiders from the North by Alex Rutherford. It is an eight-episode series and will tell the story of Emperor Babur, “from the valley of Ferghana to Samarkand and beyond”.
The movie is being promoted as ‘The story of a king battling against enemies, fate, family, death, and even himself, in search of his kingdom.”

It has also been described as “An emperor’s quest for the throne.” Keeping to tradition, this is also being promoted as “the biggest show ever created in India”.

Harking back to the days when large budget period movies recreated Moghul grandeur and extravaganza, this, too, is set to be a treat for the eyes with a gripping narrative to boot. Reviews term the action sequences impressive and since it has actually been shot across multiple locations in India and Uzbekistan, plus has the use of elaborate sets and vast landscapes, it is ‘Big’ with a capital B.

The story is as follows: “The king of Ferghana dies in an accident and a young prince is now tasked with taking over the throne. It’s a time of great distress due to imminent danger from an evil warlord. An assassination attempt on the king that further deepens the worries about the vulnerability of Ferghana. The young king must now take responsibility for an entire kingdom.
