The congress to won 18 seats and loose the state.
SAD won 3 seats and BJP won 2 seats.

As of 10.45am, in Punjab, the following are the leads.

AAP 88, INC 13, SAD 5, Others 1

The Congress has slipped in a big way in Punjab. Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi contested from two seats, Chamkaur Sahib and Bhadaur. He was trailing in both by 11.40am. Even state Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu was trailing.

Sidhu and Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia are trailing from Amritsar East seat while Aam Aadmi Party candidate Jeevanjyot Kaur is leading.AAP candidate Charanjit Singh is leading from Chamkaur Sahib, while the party’s Labh Singh Ugoke is leading from Bhadaur seat.

Having shown its Delhi model to be effective, the AAP seems to be sweeping Punjab. Even Amarinder Singh, former CM of the state and a Congress rebel is set to lose from his own seat Patiala, Ajit Pal Singh Kohli of AAP.

As of 12.50pm, in Punjab, the following are the leads.

At 5 pm

Punjab saw a complete change of heart. The AAP took over from the emaciated Congress, with a tally of 92 of the 117 seats, as the last leads indicated at 5pm.  Officially, AAP has won 75 and is leading in 17 so far.

The Congress to 13 won and leading in 5 more.

Amarinder Singh, the former Punjab Chief Minister and a Congress rebel, lost in his hometown Patiala to Ajit Pal Singh Kohli by a margin of 19,800 votes.

Navjot  Singh Sidhu , Punjab Congress chief, lost in Amritsar East to Jeevan Jyot Kaur by a margin of 650 votes.

Incumbent Punjab Chief Minister and Congress leader Charanjit Singh Channi lost from both the seats that he contested – Chamkaur Sahib and Bhadaur. In Bhadaur, the Aam Aadmi Party’s Labh Singh Ugoke got over 57,000 votes, while Channi drew a little over 23,000 votes. In the other seat Channi got 50,000-odd votes, while his nearest rival from the Aam Aadmi Party who has a similar
name – Charanjit Singh – got over 54,000 votes.

SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal lost in Jalalabad by AAP candidate Jagdeep Kamboj margin of 30,400. Senior SAD leader Bikram Majithia lost to AAP’s Jeevan Jot Kaur.

Parkash Singh Badal of SAD lost from Lambi seat by Gurmeet Singh Khudian(AAP) margin of 21600 votes.
