India’s top badminton players will be in action at the All England Badminton Championships 2023 which will begin from March 14 and culminate on March 19 in Birmingham.

India’s top badminton star PV Sindhu will be in action, though Saina Nehwal the No. 2 Indian women’s player has withdrawn.

Sindhu is returning from injuries and battling somewhat indifferent form and has a steep uphill task ahead.

In the illustrious history of the All England Badminton Championships, only two Indians have so far claimed the top honour, with Pullela Gopichand’s men’s singles triumph in 2001 coming 21 years after Prakash Padukone’s men’s singles title in 1980.

While Lakshya Sen came close to securing the crown when he reached the final in the last edition and Saina Nehwal was runners-up in the 2015 edition.

Live streaming of the All England Badminton Championships matches will be available on the Jio Cinema app and website in India as well as the Badminton World Federation’s official YouTube channel, BWF TV.

Women’s singles- Main draw: PV Sindhu

Doubles: Meanwhile, India’s top men’s doubles pairing of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will take on compatriots Krishna Prasad Garaga and Vishnuvardhan Goud Panjala in their opening round game after the Indonesian pair of Marcus Fernaldi Gideon and Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo withdrew due to Sukamuljo’s ill-health, according to the All England website.
