You have heard of Yoga laptops that fold over. Now Taiwanese tech giant Asus has taken this a step further. Middle of last month (March 2022) the company launched in India a a new 13.3-inch OLED Windows detachable laptop. It is called the Vivobook 13 Slate OLED.
The device comes with an OLED display to offer an immersive viewing experience, two cameras, Asus Pen 2.0 stylus support, Dolby Atmos and Vision support, and Wi-Fi 6 for stable internet connectivity.
The laptop is a convertible one with a detachable keyboard with a large OLED display. The device comes with and without a keyboard accompanied by a stylus in the box. It comes with support for Dolby Vision and has a detachable hinge that can go flat up to 170 degrees.
The laptop features an Asus Pen 2.0, and it also supports charging via a hidden USB Type-C port. As claimed by the company, the laptop will get completely charged up to 100% in just 30 minutes. Furthermore, the brand has said that the device can be used for 14 hours on a single charge.
The Asus Vivobook 13 Slate OLED gets three storage variants, all powered by the quad-core Intel Pentium Silver N6000 CPU. The processor comes paired with Intel HD integrated graphics, up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage. The lower models get 128GB of eMMC storage.
With a starting price of Rs 45,990, the newly launched laptop has a magnetically detachable full-size keyboard and a detachable hinge, which is available across online and offline stores.
The ASUS Vivobook 13 Slate OLED features a 13.3-inch 16:9 OLED HDR display, 1920 x 1080 resolution, a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 0.2 ms response time, 1.07 billion colours, up to 550 nits of peak brightness and 0.0005 nits of deep black brightness, providing a brighter and more detailed viewing experience, the company said.
The company claimed that it houses a 50Whr battery to keep you going for longer, providing over 9 hours of battery life on a single charge.
For optics, you will see a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera on the laptop. The Asus Pen 2.0 supports charging via a hidden USB-C port. Users can charge up to 100 percent in just 30min, which gets you over 140 hours of use. It features a bundled slim and detachable keyboard.
