Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, Pepe, Ruben Neves, Diogo Dalot; all knocked out. It is Morocco, the extraordinary Morocco who have still not let an opposition score against them in this World Cup, who have reached the semi-finals of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup. Ghana had come within inches of the semis spot back in 2010 but couldn’t quite break the glass ceiling for African nations. Now, Morocco has broken it.

In what could be his last appearance in a World Cup match, Portugal legend Cristiano Ronaldo was seen crying inconsolably as his team were shocked 1-0 by Morocco in the quarter-finals of the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Morocco created history as they became the first African nation to make it through to the last 4 stages of the showpiece event. Before them, Cameroon, Senegal and Ghana had all fallen at the quarter-finals hurdle.

Champions France beat England
Aurelien Tchouameni and Olivier Giroud scored for France as the defending champions thrashed England 2-1 in the quarterfinal match of the FIFA World Cup 2022 at the Al Bayt Stadium. For England, Harry Kane smashed a brilliant goal but failed to take his side across the line. France will now face Morocco in the semi-final match of the FIFA World Cup 2022.
