A day after Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi tested positive for Covid-19, her daughter, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also tested positive for the virus today (June 3). This was declared today by Priyanka herself.
Priyanka tweeted: “I’ve tested positive for COVID-19 with mild symptoms. Following all the protocols, I have quarantined myself at home. I would request those who came in contact with me to take all necessary precautions.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sent out a tweet (see picture), wishing Sonia a quick recovery.
Sonia had developed a mild fever on June 1 evening and was tested for Covid on June 2. She was found positive.
The party, however, added that she would appear before the Enforcement Directorate on June 8 for questioning in the National Herald case.
So far there has been no news on how Rahul Gandhi has been feeling.
