Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi pointed out that the difference in the number of votes between BJP and winning party was less than 1 per cent. “I want to thank Election Commission for conducting elections peacefully. As far as I know, re-polling in any poll booth was not required. I also want to thank the voters of Himachal. The difference between the number of votes for BJP & Congress was less than 1%,” PM Modi said.

With the Congress on track to defeat the BJP and return to power in Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Jairam Thakur conceded the party’s defeat, saying he respected the verdict given by the people. He stated that he would soon be heading to the governor’s office to submit his resignation.

In the Assembly Election 2022, Himachal Pradesh recorded a 75.6% voter turnout. The state’s last voter turnout was 75.57% in the election of 2017. After the voting procedure, all the voters are now waiting for the Himachal Pradesh Assembly Election Result 2022.
