Japanese PM Fumio Kishida reaches India today for summit

The Japanese Prime Minister, Fumio Kishida, arrives in India today (March 19) for the 14th India-Japan summit. According to external affairs ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi, this summit will provide an opportunity for both sides to review and further strengthen bilateral ties.

It is a two-day visit,which will include his summit meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Bagchi has been quoted as saying: “(The) 14th India-Japan Annual Summit is to be held on March 19. At the invitation of PM Modi, Japanese PM Fumio Kishida will be undertaking an official visit to New Delhi from Mar 19 to 20. Briefing media. This will be the first meeting of these two leaders.”
